Hand carved from one solid piece of tropical hard wood, this original panel has three tribal figures with Asmat inspired motifs decorating the space below. It even has carved detail in the back. Traditionally the Asmat creates story board depicting their daily lives. The Asmat are an ethnic group of New Guinea, residing in the Papua provice, Indonesia. * The stick of wood in the photo is only used to straighten the panel for photographic purposes.
