This handsome human figure is carved in the traditional style, in a sqatting posture and adorned with an ornamental hornbill headdress. Classic stylized spiral motifs decorate the base. With a rich espresso finish feet, this tribal statue is a wonderful piece of ethnic Sumbanese art. Hand carved by a village artisan in Sumba from one solid piece of wood. Organic character from the wood throughout.
