Handmade in Java as an architectural ventilation tile used in Chinese Indonesian homes, their open decorative style was also key to their function, allowing for air flow in and out of the home. Handcrafted from clay by local artisans in the 1950’s and painted with a brown glaze, some slight wear is visible but overall it’s in excellent condition. Mounted on a custom made teak wood stand for a beautiful display.
