DESCRIPTION: This old slit drum from Java with it’s rustic patina, is a unique piece to add to your home decor. Originally used as a drum in Java, this village artifact was handcrafted from one solid block of teak wood and hollowed out on the inside to produce sound. Traditionally referred to as “kul-kul,” the old teak drum has a handsome curved shape and a hand hewn weathered patina. A custom made teak stand was created for display purposes. This old village drum is wonderful piece of utilitarian organic art. Naturally distressed patina consistent with age and wear.
